5 Sportster Rear Crash Bar
Posted by Doc Young on 29th Jun 2025
Cock’s Stunt Parts June 2025 Rear crash bars are solid. Will never break. My only wish is if they were at least an inch, to an inch and a half longer, each side. Also enclosed were two aluminum spacers for frames that are more narrow. The spacers were not thick enough. I had to use one split lock washer on one side and one tooth lock washer opposite side, so the fit was tight as it should be. I ride a fully restored, 1986 Harley Sportster that was also highly customized. I need to protect this bike from any drops as I train. I am training via “RideLikeAPro.com.” It is a moto-officer training course. Emphasis is high on U-turns according to officer standards. They are riding cruiser bikes. My Sportster is very close to their cruisers. They highly recommend both front and rear crash bars while training to prevent damages to the bike when training. Finding a front crash bar for my vintage Sportster was easy. There are NO rear crash bars for my bike anywhere in the world. Until I discovered Cock’s Stunt Parts. This crash bar blends in nicely with my bike. Seems like it was a factory design. I am so grateful they make a crash bar for my bike, and it is so beefy. The are a younger company by viewing their staff members. But they are a good company, easy to work with. Cock’s, if you ever come out with a wider crash bar, please let me know. It is all about protecting my bike from damages, even scratches, when training on a nice looking bike. Thanks, Doc Young P.S.: Shipping charges don’t make any sense. Just go with it, it is worth it so you can get what you need.
